One Step Closer...

To being a CLOTH DIAPERING MAMA!

We got our diapers yesterday! I was like a kid on Christmas morning when the doorbell rang, and there was the UPS man, holding my box of diapers. haha. I was SO excited. I got 12 One Size Fuzzibunz Diapers. For now, I've decided to go with just one brand of diapers just to make things easier for us. When we have #2, I might be more adventurous and try different brands and styles. I love the snaps and all the beautiful colors!! I'm currently washing them all so we can start cloth diapering ASAP!

I also ordered some new bath wash for E. I got California Baby Calming Shampoo & Body Wash. I've heard great things about the brand and it's all natural. I've realized that Eisley has pretty sensitive skin so it's somewhat of a challenge to find something gentle enough for her. I was using Babyganics Extra Extra Gentle Daily Lotion, and surprisingly it made her skin break out. It's not as "free and clear" as it claims to be... So hopefully California Baby will be our new "go to" brand. It's a little bit more expensive, but hopefully worth it.

As I mentioned in a previous blog, I'm really trying to watch what I put on and in my body. I'm slowly switching over to natural options for everyday life, for both food and body products. Of course buying organic is expensive. That's why I'm slowly getting different products. I'm love that I'm trying to go more "green." I hope to see the short term (and long term) effects soon. Unfortunately, in the town we live in there is no "all natural" grocery store. The closest one is an hour and a half away. So, it's a challenge to find organic products. To my surprise, Kroger carries quite a few organic products that are pretty inexpensive! I'm thankful for that.

A cool things happen when you become a mom, you start to cherish yourself and those around you more. I just want everyone to be happy and healthy and stay around a lot longer. I'm starting to take care of myself (and convince my hubby to eat healthier) so that our daughter can have her parents right by her side for a long time. Also, we are setting a great example early for her. Someday she'll appreciate it... :)
