I know I say this all the time, but I can't believe my little baby is another month older! It has been exactly 6 months since I first saw her beautiful little face. Seriously, where on EARTH has time gone?! These past 6 months have been the most wonderful/challenging/beautiful/crazy time of my life. I'm so happy and blessed that Eisley is all mine and will be forever!
Ok, now on to who this little girl is now. She is one happy little baby. She smiles all the time now. It doesn't take much to make her smile either. One goofy noise out of my mouth and she's grinning ear to ear. If she isn't hungry or tired she's a very cheerful girl. She definitely knows that my husband and I are Mommy and Daddy. She's comforted by us and gets so excited when she sees us! My favorite thing that she does now is when I pick her up she grabs onto each side of my neck and rubs her face on mine. It's like a mini hug and I LOVE IT! She hates being left alone. If she's in her jumper or on her playmat and I leave the room, she's not happy. It usually takes her a minute to realize no one is there, but once she does she'll let you know she needs to see you.
I can tell that she is wanting to do more "big girl" things. She loves to stand whenever she can. I'll hold her up on my lap and she'll just play with my face, shirt or necklace and she's totally content. She just recently started sitting up unassisted. I still have to be right next to her, but she can sit by herself for a good minute before leaning/falling over. She gets this look of "Look what I'm doing!" on her face when she's sitting. It's the cutest thing ever. She also loves baths. She just started splashing and she finds it hilarious.
She loves eating solid foods! So far all she's had is baby food and baby oatmeal but soon I want to get some actual soft foods she can feed herself. I'm still doing research on what foods are best to start with. She gets really excited when it's time to eat and loves exploring different tastes. So far, she isn't a picky eater which is nice. She likes everything!
I don't really see any signs of teething yet. There are days where she like to chew on toys more often but she doesn't seem to be in any pain. She always has her Amber Teething Necklace on (except for sleeping) so it may or may not be helping with any mouth discomfort.
Her sleeping schedule changes every week, it seems. If we're lucky, she'll take 2-3 naps a day. The length of each nap differs from time to time. My goal for each day is to get her to take at least 2 good naps a day, but she likes to fight sleep during the day. Night time is a COMPLETELY different! All I have to do is put her in her sleep sack, give her a pacifier, lay her in her crib and she puts her self to sleep in 3-5 minutes. It's so nice. I hope she keeps it up :)
That's my baby in a nutshell.
